Prime Minister leaves for Singapore

Prime Ministe Rranil Wickremesinghe left the island to Singapore this evening(March 01) to participate in the ‘Invest Sri Lanka summit’ that is been organized by the Colombo Stock Exchange.

Our airport correspondent said that 6 representatives left the island with the premier.

The Prime Minister's office said that top investors in the region are due to participate in this summit.

It further said that Singapore- Sri Lanka Free trade agreement which was signed in 2018 has helped economic and trade relations in both countries to strengthen.

This summit would enhance the benefits Sri Lanka would receive through this agreement.

Prime Minister has been accompanied by the Central Bank Governor Indrajith Coomarswamy for this summit.
